- 简介：In1928,threeyearsaftertheeventsofthepreviousfilm,themoonrisesatapredeterminedangle,awakeningDr.Phibesfromhisslumber.Tohisdismay,hediscoversthathishousehasbeendemolishedandhispapyrusscrollsstolen,whichheneedstofindthetombofthePharaohinEgypt,wheretheRiverofLifeflows.Afterdiscoveringthesourceofthepapyrustheft,hepacksupandheadstoEgyptwithhisassistantVolnavia-whosefaceisuntouchedbytheacidbathshereceivedattheendofthepreviousfilm(althoughthecharacterisnowrepresentedbyPlayedbyanotheractress,WallyCamp).HismaingoalistoresurrecthisdeadwifeVictoria.AsDetectivesTroutandWaverlyhuntPhoebusaroundtheworld,thethieveswhostolePhoebus'scrollfaceamanpowerattritionproblem.ThepartyisledbyBeiderbecke(RobertQuarry,bestknownforplayingCountYorga).Althoughhelooksyoung,heishundredsofyearsoldandwantstofindtheRiverofLifeinordertosurviveandbewithhisloveDiana(FionaLewis)forever.Phoebus'smurdersthistimearoundallhaveanEgyptiantheme;forexample,onecharacterwassandblastedtodeath.Otherdeathsincludesomeonebeingstungbyascorpion,beingeatenbyaneagle(impaledbyagoldeneagleintheoriginalscript,muchlikethedoctorinTheHatefulDr.Phoebeswasimpaledbyagoldenunicorn)andbeingstungbyagoldensnakePiercesomeone'sskull.Attheclimax,BeiderbeckesacrificeshislifetosaveDiana.Attheendofthefilm,PhoebusandVictoriaridearaftdowntheRiverofLifewhilesinging"SomewhereOvertheRainbow"(whichisoddbecausethemovieissetin1928,but"OvertheRainbow"Part1wasnotwrittenuntil1938).WhetherVictoriawasresurrectedremainsunclear,althoughaphotoincludedwiththeDVDshowsherontheraftwithhereyesopenandsmilingatthecamera.
